GE to Acquire Cameron’s Reciprocating Compression Division

It has been announced today that GE has agreed to acquire Cameron’s Reciprocating Compression division for $550 million. GE has said that it will benefit their employees, customers and shareholders and will accelerate growth.

recipHomeThis is great news for us at Dilectus too given our close relationship with both Cameron and GE. We second the opinion of Richard Stegall, president of Cameron’s Reciprocating Compression division, who said, “We are very excited at the prospect of joining GE Oil & Gas and the Downstream Technology Solutions business. Given our collective breadth of service offerings, the combination will greatly benefit both companies’ customers and employees. We have achieved good growth over recent years, and we anticipate that this trajectory will continue with the support of GE Oil & Gas.”

The acquisition is expected to complete later this year subject to regulatory approval. As a supplier into both companies, this mutually beneficial acquisition and its resultant trajectory of growth, means not only increased success for GE and Cameron, but also more job opportunities and prospects for our candidates!
