SHIFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (KING'S LYNN): £34.5K SALARY INCLUDING SHIFT PAY PLUS BENEFITS, 12 HOUR SHIFT PATTERN TUESDAY TO THURSDAY NIGHTS (EVERY WEEKEND IS A LONG WEEKEND OFF!). LEADING EUROPEAN FOOD INDUSTRY PRODUCER.

The Client

Our client is a world leading name in their field, and a producer of own and well known household brands - supplying leading supermarkets across the UK and internationally. Due to expansion of their plant, we are currently seeking a further multi skilled maintenance engineer for their team.

The Role

We are looking for an electrically biased maintenance engineer to join our client's night shift at their site in King's Lynn. The successful candidate will work Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am and Tuesday to Thursday 6pm to 6am on a rotating basis.
 
The main duties will include responding to equipment failures/breakdowns, undertaking preventive maintenance and general work orders, maintaining and updating records on the maintenance system as well as working on continuous improvement and other projects.
 
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leaders and the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will join an experienced site wide team responsible for the maintenance of all production equipment.
 
Ideally you will have direct experience working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.
 
The successful candidates must hold an electrical qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum and be 17th edition certified but not essential. You must be an excellent fault finder and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC’s. You will be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.
 
The role is crucial to the efficient running of the site and therefore you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors and have a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall needs of the business are met.
