MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS (LIVERPOOL, PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY - CONTRACT ROLE INITIALLY WITH FURTHER POTENTIAL): CIRCA £15-17 PER HOUR. WORLD LEADING MULTINATIONAL COMPANY, FANTASTIC WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND ROLE.

The Client

Our client is quite simply one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, with a reputation for being one of the best organisations to work for. We are presently seeking two further Maintenance Engineers for this client on contract.

The Role

Setting up the Maintenance Programme in the Site Maintenance Management System and maintaining it.

Planning the execution of the Maintenance Programme.

Assisting the Shift Process Technician group to Execute the routine Maintenance Programme

Internal vessel inspections, including assisting coil dye tests

Determine best practice

Coach/Train Optechs

Ensure practice versus procedure

Provide a link between the shift Process Technician group, Scientists and Day Support Group.

General Responsibilities

Problem Solving: Use diagnostic and experience skills to assist operations group troubleshooting complex operational and science related issues. Use of systems eg DeltaV and PI to aid diagnostics.

Documentation:  Completion of documentation to cGMP standards without error  eg; BPRs, completion of Maximo works orders.

Training: Own individual learning plan, share specialist skills and information gained through experience. Assist in development of Optechs learning plans and their implementation. Devise and write training material, train Optechs in operations.

Information Technology: Use of process control systems. Use business systems to support work eg; Maximo, Microsoft office applications, SAP, DeltaV, PI.

Skills & Experience Required

Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably pharmaceutical, chemical, brewery, process).
Operational and mechanical skills.
Demonstrated ability to plan multiple tasks.
Previous use of a maintenance management system eg Maximo
Qualifications –  Recognised Mechanical Technician Time Served Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

Desired Experience and Education

Working knowledge of pharmaceutical operations and processes.
Experience of working in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills/Preferences

Excellent troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
Demonstrated ability in training people.
Good working knowledge of Maximo preferred.
A proactive and flexible attitude in a changing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work
