TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATOR (AUTOMOTIVE): CHESTER / NORTH WALES AREA, SALARY £18-£20K, 6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT POTENTIAL FOR FUTURE PROGRESSION. LARGE MULTINATIONAL COMPANY UNDERGOING A PERIOD OF GROWTH AND POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT.

The Client
Our client is part of a huge multinational company with operations and offices all over the world, with an innovative and high technology range of products. As part of their continued growth they are presently seeking a Control Engineer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities
◦Controlling engineering documentation through the change approval process; requiring confident use of Microsoft Software (Word and Excel). Updating drawings (text fields) and corresponding data on the company’s business systems.
◦Creating, monitoring and updating Engineers workloads.
◦Processing requests for drawing changes.
◦Updating tracking spreadsheets as required.
◦Entry and analysis (mainly using Microsoft Excel) of high volume data.
◦Create and manage KPI’s and reports for the dept.
◦Assisting with the creation, production and updating of training materials.
◦Providing other general administrative assistance to the Design Office. This will include filing, archiving, attending and minuting meetings, photocopying and scanning documents etc.

Other Duties:
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the company.

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
◦Experience of scheduling/planning of job task workloads.
◦Able to manage, analyse and report high volume data.
◦Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
◦Possess excellent IT skills and the ability to manage several computer programs simultaneously.
◦A good grounding in general office administration (at least two years) preferably encompassing engineering and/or manufacturing support tasks.
◦Basic competence in English and Maths.

Desirable:
◦Experience of using business systems, in particular ERP (Enterprise resource planning) or MRP (Materials Requirement Planning).
◦Team Centre, SharePoint, Workfront, Power BI software.

The Person:
◦Comfortable to work in a busy engineering environment including attending relevant meetings.
◦Possess the ability to learn new things quickly.
◦Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative.
◦Be able to work to documented procedures.
◦Manage data from several different sources and be able to multi-task.
◦Possess the ability to work on own initiative and under pressure, and be able to interact with other professionals of different disciplines.
◦Have an excellent eye for detail.
◦Be able to demonstrate good time management and organisational skills.
